Our extensive training program is designed to prepare our guards for any scenario that may come up on your site. This program has been approved by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. It meets the minimum requirements of a rigorous 40-hour training schedule. The interactive training has professional training videos and PowerPoint presentations that cover “what-if” scenarios. These lessons are discussed in detail and our staff gets quizzed so we can ensure they’re ready to serve your needs. Topics taught include patrolling, observing, chain of command procedures, report writing, and customer service. We also train our staff to be prepared on how to prevent injury and what to do in case an injury does occur on site.
Of course, these lessons listed above only cover the fundamentals required to be a security guard according to state and federal security officer training requirements. We take our staff to the next level by engraining them with EP Security Service expectations and standards on proper work behavior, punctuality, and the importance of respect for co-workers and site visitors alike. It’s mandatory that our staff take sexual harassment training to avoid any disrespectful situations. They are expected to be punctual and be there to do their job without interfering in the daily lives of your staff or visitors. Our armed security guards and unarmed security guards are fully aware of the consequences should they fail to meet EP Security Service standards. Any minor infraction such as sleeping on the job or using electronic entertainment equipment while on duty would be met with disciplinary procedures. All of this, combined with lessons on hygiene and uniform policies prepares them to properly represent the image you need at your forefront.
Additionally, our security patrol officers and guards are required to check in at pre-determined access points with interval patrol schedules using our point to point security system. They are also constantly monitored by our GPS tracking system so we can ensure your property is being looked after.
We continue to train our staff in an on-going process to guarantee we can offer you the best service possible. This continued training consists of on-going 4-hour sessions for observation and documentation, public relations, liability and legal aspects, communication, officer survival, and handling difficult people. All our training and materials come from recognized organizations including The Professional Security Training Network and The California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards and Associates.
